Privacy Policy

What we collect
Hertzy is built to keep your data on your device. We do not create accounts, and we do not collect your name, email, or contacts.
The only information that leaves your device is anonymous, aggregated diagnostic and usage data:
- Crash reports — via Firebase Crashlytics. These help us find and fix bugs and stability issues. Reports include device model, OS version, and the technical state of the app at the time of a crash.
- Anonymous usage events — via Firebase Analytics. We log which tone frequencies and ambient sounds are played, and whether the optional “Remove Ads” purchase is made. These events are aggregated and are not tied to your identity.
Saved tones
Tones you save stay on your device (and your private iCloud, if you have it enabled). They are never uploaded to us.
Advertising
Hertzy shows ads through Google AdMob unless you purchase “Remove Ads”. With your permission (the App Tracking Transparency prompt), AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you still see ads — they are just less personalized.
Purchases
“Remove Ads” is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. We only record an anonymous event noting that a purchase occurred.
Data retention & your choices
- You can turn ad tracking off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Crash and analytics data is retained only as long as needed to improve the app.
- Because the data we collect is anonymous, we cannot single out or delete an individual person's records.
Third-party services
These providers process data on our behalf. Review their policies for details:
- Google (Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics, AdMob) — policies.google.com/privacy

Children
Hertzy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and prompt you to re-accept the policy inside the app.
